Hi, I just received my first Mac, a MBP today. Is there a way to change the text size permanently? When I browse webs with Safari, the text appears tiny, and I have to increase the text size every time I open it. What I meant is, can I increase the text size on the screen while keeping the 1440 x 900 resolution?
Also, can I turn on the LED light on the keyboard manually?

To turn on the keyboard, you'd need to put something over it to block the light out (your hand, black towel, etc)

You can turn off the Ambient Light Sensor and press the key on the keyboard, I think (I'm not sure).

As for the text, you can press Command and + to increase text size :).

Not too sure about the text size but you can control the keyboard backlight manually with Lab Tick. Its great and its free. Available here.

After you open Safari, go to Safari>Preferences, click on the tab that says "Appearance," and click the button that says "Select," next to "Standard font." From there you can change the text size, or font for that matter, to your liking.
