What exactly should you expect when it arrives in the mail?

My friend is curious as to how it's packaged and what is comes with.
Does it has its original adapter or is that all new?
Does Apple share with you what the original problem was?

Is iLife '08 included on refurbs?
Can you get a student discount on the laptop and/or AppleCare?

For those of you with refurbs, can you just tell me your general experience?

    1. It ships in a brown box with "Apple Refurbished" printed on the side, with a new adapter.

    2. No, Apple will not let you in on the original problem, neither does anyone else.

    3. Yes, it should include iLife '08

    4. No student discounts (I don't think, anyway). Yes it includes the same warranty as a new machine (starts at the purchase date), and you can buy more Applecare for it.

    5. I highly recommend Apple refurbs. I've purchased several, and never had a bad experience. Aside from the brown box, it's just like buying new, only it arrives much quicker.
