    I did a clean install only o find that everything was pretty much untouched. I would like it to boot like it came from the store, as I think this will solve me permissions problem, granted the permissions problem hasn't really been a problem, but it's there and I would like it not to be. I figure an hour or two doing a clean install is worth it. I just don't know how to do a CLEAN install! lol :D

    I was thinking of erasing the disk in utilities and then reinstalling.

    If you have the disk;
    - Insert disk intro drive
    - Restart
    - Tap Alt a couple times before the splash screen pops up
    - Select the disk (to boot from)
    - After it is ready, go to Utilities (on the top)
    - Then Disk Management
    - Delete the partitions (so you only have one)
    - Format to Mac OSX Extended Journaled
    - Install!

    This is all from memory, but that is what sounds right to me.

    You can burn a disk - google it or search the site for instructions. Do you have the external dvd-rom?
