I have a late 2006-early 2007 2.16GHz macbook pro and it doesn't sit flat on the table. It's a little...wobbly. It's weird. It's been running hot for the past few days so is it possible that the metal deformed itself or something? And if I took it into the Apple store can I get the bottom part replaced?

A likely culprit would be the battery. Take it out - does it feel warped or can you see any spacing around it?

All of the above is possible.

Assuming it's a noticeable rocking, then it is possible - and in my experience, unusually frequently on an Apple as opposed to any other vendor - for the battery to swell, and in a couple of cases for me for the level to be of a sufficient degree to cause the laptop to deform. As diggy said, disengage the battery and examine it for odd swelling.

In this case, even assuming your Applecare has expired, I would expect Apple to make good on a repair / replacement. If not, raise a stink or do the Shrek cat eyes.
