This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    so...I got my new ibook last night at 8pm...

    i managed to lock it up within 4 hours of use...
    force quit wouldnt work. had to hold the power button

    it was post microsoft office install.

    also..it takes a while to start up

    i think that deserves a medal or something

    I had my neighbors iBook locked using the mail program TWICE. Nothing is installed on that company besides what was on it out of the box.

    Fun Fact: UWM-Milwaukee computer labs have to reboot the iMac's in the computer lab about twice a day, the crappy dells get rebooted around every 1-2 weeks. Some things are not as infallible as some might want to think ;)
