    And I do mean everything.. does iTunes do it all?

    Also would I like some advice on tracking software for if it gets stolen.

    Is there some handy piece of software I could use?

    I prefer it to be free.. thank you.

    I've lost some pictures before in transitions to a new iPhone or during the major version updates... I would make sure that you copy all the pics off via USB manually and not hope that iTunes does it.

    The only* way to track it to my knowledge is mobile me. but if some one steals your phone, they can turn off the mobile me tracking in about 2 seconds in the settings menu or just format your phone.
