I need some OS X benchmarking software. I'm particularly interested in performance and boot time benchmarks. Anyone know any good stuff(hopefully free)? Thanks for any help.

Thanks HD. I'm just curious if there's some OS X equivalent for BootTimer?

I'm looking at the boottimer utility for windows, and I'm thinking that a stopwatch may be a better solution in both cases.

Yeah, I just timed it. What I'm looking for it something with a benchmark score I could compare to other machines, PC or Mac. I tried the XBench, but for me, it hung when it started to do the thread benchmark. Is there something needed to set it up?

Oh sorry, I haven't tried BootTimer, but hopefully someone will come around with experience with the app and give you some advice. :)

You can compare to mine (stop watch), 25s boot up from pressing power button until getting into OSX and loading all apps i had running prior to rebooting.
Specs in sign, if that is of any interest, hehe..
