So I have always been against macs in general because I just felt that I had no need for an overpriced computer that ran an OS with very little game support. Anyways I deployed earlier this year and I picked up my wife a Macbook 13.3in with a 2.4 core2duo 320m etc etc and I purchased a G73JH for myself so I could have a portable gaming machine. Well all I can say is that I rarely get on my G73JH except to play a game. Also I have absolutely no problems out of the Macbook, the touchpad is amazing, the keyboard has ZERO flex, the screen even though its low res to me is great looking even from extreme angles yet I have had almost nothing but problems out of my G73JH which has a horrible touchpad, horrible keyboard flex, overheating problems, screen being scratched by the keyboard due to flex, and software after software issues, drivers, bluetooth problems, list goes on and on and it died so I waited 2 months for an RMA replacement. Like I said I LOVE MY MACBOOK and look forward to a refresh next year.

    - Thank You for your service soldier

Yeah macs are great, i made the jump last year and i'm sold as far as laptops are concerned although i'd rather have a windows desktop for gaming, perfect balance

Same here. I certainly appreciate your service in the military. You're highly respected. :)

BTW, what is a G73JH? I don't think many Mac users will be familiar with just a model number of laptop. ;)

Yeah the Asus G73JH has a lot of build quality problems, they cut corners to give such good hardware at that price. Its a great laptop for people looking for ridiculous bang for the buck portable performance but is defiantly not a luxury laptop at all. The good thing about Macs is as a casual user you just can't go wrong like you can picking the wrong brand of PC. Makes the buying process much simpler.

same here, I love my MBP. I used to be a mac hater but last year I decided to give hackintosh a try on my hp notebook. Turns out I was using OS X exclusively on there, I fell in love with the os.

So I sold my HP and bought a 13 inch macbook pro. The build quality is 3x better than my HP. The trackpad is easily by far the best one I have ever used. Whenever I used my HP I found myself wanting a mouse, but never so on my MBP.

    Other than just Quality...
The user interface on OSX is perfect for my work.

This is why I am selling my Dell Inspiron 9300 and HDX16.
