1.) My MBP gives me the warm fuzzies every time I turn it on.

2.) I love that I can't mess in the bios, and that Apple controls the hardware THEY make the OS for. So simple!

    3.) Time Machine is fantastic.

    4.) The screen is gorgeous!

    5.) It's so quiet!

6.) It's such a fantastic design, and it makes me more sexually attractive to my wife. :D

Alright you guys, your turn! Please continue at number 7, and don't forget to say which Mac you own! More people, more!

Well good for you. I could have a MacBook Pro sitting in my lap, with a half million in cash sitting next to me... and the women would still run in the other direction.

I'll leave you with a simple "Why I like my mac".

7.) Been using these things for 20 years, and still haven't got a virus.

:p Reminds me of the Bad Religion song...

    "I love my computer,
    you make me feel alright.
    every waking hour,
    and every lonely night
    i love my computer,
for all you give to me
    predictable errors
    and no identity
and its never been quite so easy
I've never been quite so happy
    all i need to do
    is click on you
and we'll be joined together in a soulless way
and we'll never ruin each others day
because when I'm done with you
i just click and you just go away

    I love my computer
    I get so turned on
    when I turn you on.
    "

I need a mouse to work efficiently, so that point is moot. Whether there's a right click beneath a touch-pad matters not. What matters is a right click on a mouse!

It's much more efficient for me to have a large single button as opposed to the two buttons on other laptops. Took a bit to get used to, but now it's MUCH easier. If Apple release a two button MBP and I bought one, I'd have to mod the drivers to treat them as the same button.

Two finger right click is awesome! Even works well when I play (well, used to play) WoW.

    26) I love the MacBook keyboard and the keys.

    27) MagSafe magnetic power cord! It has saved me so many times.

    28) MBPs + MacBooks are thin compared to most notebooks.

    I have a 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo Apple MacBook :).

I love my Macbook because it is pretty. I love it most because it is made by Apple and it is so nice to be able to take my laptop to the Apple store, meet with a genius and have it "fixed" in less than an hour, no appointment needed and no cost! Try that with a PC from Best Buy!

Apple Support: Thank you for calling Apple, what kind of Mac are you using
    Me: A Dell 1420
Apple Support: Are you sure it's a Mac?

I do envy how the little Apple lights up on the back of the laptop. I would mod it to flash different colors.

we've got good paperwork here. There are very legal ways to do this. like develop device drivers maybe? But now I'm going off topic.

I've got a (sorta) unmodified MBP that comes in handy also.

    There are very legal ways?

The EULA of Mac OS X states that you must run it on Apple hardware. What other legal way can you possibly have to run Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware?

Technically there is a way, but you gotta fork out many thousands of dollars to be a certain level of Apple developer. Basically, Apple gets their money, and grants permission to use the OS on non-apple hardware...

However, I don't think they are doing this for Leopard (10.5), so...

Edit/afterthought; Most Apple developers use Apple hardware to write their stuff anyways. I think it was originally set up that way to port apps over easier.

"It's Top secret. You know. I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you."

I like my Mac because it's , well, mine. You know the slogan, "Yours is here."

Ok. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot here. All I know is we got all sorts of equipment lying around here. Macs, PC, HPs, and Honeys.
My boss says, "get this card to work with these software packages, with these cards attached with these sensor attached" and I do it. I get a paycheck at the end of the month and honestly, I DON'T have a copy of his contract with Apple. The only paperwork I see from him are "I need that TPX report" or "I need you to come in early on saturday."

So I'm sorry if I'm no help. Not like i would implicate my boss either because, well he honestly is a decent guy. We both like football.

This is not an OS X on PC topic. Any more posts off topic will be deleted.

The thing I like most is not having to tinker. I get soooo much more done with my MBP.

    Seriously! On topic please!

The not-having-to-tinker thing totally rocks. Though there are a FEW tinkery things you have to do (especially to fix the Leopard-parking-your-hard-drive's-heads-too-often bug), for the most part it's tinker free, which really is a change from Windows.

I also like how most Mac issues can easily be troubleshooted...quitting the application that's working up the processor, restarting, repairing Disk Permissions, resettting PRAM...its just easy to remember to do whenever you run into trouble, and most of the time it fixes it up.

i love Macs because when using them I don't have to deal with AV, antispyware apps, rootkits, keeping them all up-to-date, and running scans of my systems. Also, I've never had to reinstall OSX because of slowdowns, malware, corrupted apps, etc.

@Sam: I'm very lazy so Onyx and MacJanitor are installed on my Macs for the occasional episodes when OSX acts up a bit. It's been quite a while, though, since the last time I actually used either app.
