Unity mode takes ~0.2% CPU when in Single Window Mode with only OneNote 2007 open and ~2% in Unity Mode.

    Not much, right?

With Word 2007 open as well, the CPU usage in Unity Mode jumps to ~4%. Single Window Mode CPU usage stays roughly the same.

I use a program called ChemSketch. With that open alongside OneNote 2007, Unity Mode's CPU usage is ~20%(!) while SWM usage stays well below 1%.

I'll try to see if I can get some battery tests in tomorrow and post results. I get about 4 hours of battery life without VMWare Fusion and ~3 hours with. I've been running Unity Mode though, so I want to check out battery life in SWM.

If you guys want pictures or other programs CPU usage or whatever else, just request them, but I wouldn't lie to you guys. ;)

Fusion has 2 processes, are you sure you are also looking at vmx-vmware?
0.2% is too little really, it should be closer to 5% on idle...
