I've been trying to find a way for a long time to use the keyboard to open files. Windows logic says you should arrow to the file you want, and press enter. OS X thinks that's only good for editing the name, and until about 5 minutes ago I thought you had to click.

Well, tonight I rejoice. As a very shortcut oriented person who doesn't really use the mouse a whole lot, this is great.

Arrow to the file you want and hit command+arrow key down.

    I can't stop opening files!

Haha, congrats on figuring it out, system_159! I didn't know that (now I know ;)), I never use the keyboard to open my files (I just double click). Interesting nonetheless!

Thanks, Sam. I just know this issue has been mentioned several times here, so I thought I'd post it, and with a title that'd make everyone look at it ;)

    I didn't know you could press Open-Apple + Down Arrow for this. I've always used Open-Apple + O. That's Open File from Finder's File Menu ;).
