Well ya! I am back to the Mac World after 10 months :D

I was looking for a sturdy and lightweight, powerful machine on the go. After using all kind of machine: Lenovo T400 (for sale), Dell Latitude E6400, Dell XPS 1530, Dell Adamo, VAIO Z590, VAIO F, Asus G52, etc..... I still miss my MBP early 2009 with removable battery and switching graphics that I had in 2009. It is the winner every laptop that I had by a far margin in term of build quality and screen estate.
Therefore, this time, when I am looking for a final laptop that could serve me for a few years with international warranty & support, since I am going oversea for a while. I decide to go back with Mac.
I want the anti-glare screen, which only available to the 15inch, because I hate to see the reflection from the glossy screen and the extra resolution will help me to be more productive. However, I feel that the anti-glare screen hold to the body much stronger than the glossy screen. I checked these at the Apple store. Does any body here feel the same?
I decide to go with refurbished for a few reasons.
1/ I am a frequent Craiglist buyer and I were looking for the current MBP version for a while (Since May). However, these non-brain Craiglist seller try to sell me their MBP for exactly the price of what apple sells in store .And say I will save on tax, while I could buy from a third party retailer like Macmall for no tax or get a free ipod and then sell it to cover tax.
2/ As a student, I could get some $ off, but I found that 15% off from Apple Refurbished store is much more a better deal.
3/ My budget is $1700 which is below Apple MBP base prices. Total after tax for me is $1730.
4/I heard that Apple refurbished is excellent quality, just like new.
I order the Mac on Tuesday last week and one week later, it arrives today.
My MBP Refurbished comes brand new. I coundn’t find a single scratch, dent, dead pixel. It looks brand new. This is the most worth $300 saving that I could save.
If someone is hesitating on Apple refurbished, just buy it. They look just brand new without the fantasy box in store.

**I wil post some pics later.

    Downside:
My mac has 16 cycles. But battery is good for 1000 cycles isn't it?
    10.6.3 is installed. I was expecting 10.6.4

Which one did you buy? Was it an i5 MBP? I can't find an i5 MBP for $1730 total with an AG screen.

I'm buying the config listed in my sig on Friday. Because it's a refurb, it's going to come out to $1999 pre-tax and $2120 with tax. When purchased new, it would cost $2350 pre-tax and around $2500 with tax.

Is it the i5 2.4 with AG?

Mine is really common as it is the highest specced 15" that is sold in Apple stores.

Oh btw, I just notice this: on my headphone jack, there is a red lightning next to it. Does it mean anything??

NVM: it was fixed by itself.

16 cycles is absolutely nothing, and it's a free update to 10.6.4. How exactly are these downsides?

By red light, do you mean red light IN the jack? That's optical audio output for a receiver or digital or digital to analog converter.
