    How long will it be until new macbook pros are on amazon? How about the websites like macmall?

    From my experience Amazon usually gets them anywhere from 3 days to a couple of weeks later... it just depends on the supply. Most of the other areas are the same way, but occasionally have new Macs within a day or two, you'll just have to keep checking.

    being the ram isn't upgradable, I had to get mine directly from Apple to get 16GB. Know that if you by the stock model with 8GB from amazon, you'll always have 8gb.

    yes, i like the stock model has 8gb, that will be enough for most users for several years, but I do ram hungry things.

    Looks like my companies average 5% apple discount is a better deal than just about anything out there right now.

    Even taking into consideration I have an amazon credit card with tripple points.
