I am looking into purchasing a 17" MBP this fall (mainly for writing; I need lots of screen space for multiple applications to be open at the same time). My wife has a two-month old 15" MBP that seems to be holding up fine; but I was wondering how the 17" MBP holds up over time. Has anyone had their 17" MBP for a while and found any issues with build (or other) quality, maybe as compared to other laptop vendors? Any regrets with respect to buying the 17" model?

    Thanks!

a friend of mine has the 17inch and it is beautiful to use. I can see no build quality issues. and they come in 1900x1200 resolution screen now. although it is not the LED.
