I downloaded screenflow because the trial version is free and the only disadvantage is watermark which isn't bad. But I tried to upload on Youtube but because the extension is .screenflow YouTube doesn't recognize it. So I tried to upload to YouTube from the Screenflow itself but it doesn't give the "private mode" option.

Is there some other recording software that is free and gives the "private mode" option?

I just screen record using quicktime... can upload to YouTube easy enough just using their web interface with drag and drop.
