hi, I'm just making this thread for a friend who wants to know if there's anything he can do to lower his GPU temperatures. Right now he goes all the way up to 83 when just playing WoW. Note, this is on Vista since he does all his gaming on Vista but WoW is not even a very gpu intensive game.

    Thanks for the input.

Which computer? MBP, MB, or MBA?

And the reason is because of the materials the computer is made of, it heats up very easily. Buy a cooling pad.

I'm guessing his fans are at max when hes playing?

That should help with some temps, otherwise cooling mats can help.
Or playing in a cool room, or on a flat surface like a table. Putting MBP's on cushions/beds/soft surfaces can block the exhaust and make the fans & temp rise like crazy.
