Are there any retailers that carry high capacity batteries for the new aluminum Macbooks? A Google search yielded no relevant results.

I'm sure that most of us would be quite interested if someone made/will make these batteries. Long battery life is always a plus.

    Thanks,
    Dean

On a related but separate note, could you use a battery pad or other external cell to connect up? I know they make universal ones. It would be a hassle but since a hi-cap battery would involve even more expensive technology to properly fit into the bottom compartment, the external cell may be cheaper.

Just did some looking, seems fastmac.com offers hi-cap batteries for modern mac laptops, but it seems that their numbers are only slightly higher than stock batteries...

I thought they did have them for previous models through retailers like Fast Mac.

You're right, the high cap batteries were availible for previous models. Really hope manufacturers can come out with batteries for the new models soon, if they haven't been made already.

No, I'm still a Windows user and in the market for a new Mac, if you were directing the question towards me - not sure if you were :p

Good to know that there are some for the old ones.

But guys, give it some time, the new laptop has only been out for a short amount of time. It will take a bit longer before new stuff comes out for them.

Re Aluminum Macbook: How simple would it be to switch out batteries at the coffee shop, I wonder? Would it be feasible to carry an extra fully charged one?
