    High DPI Mice Issue

    So if you're experiencing a problem with high DPI gaming mice go download an App called "SteerMouse" it's $20.00 USD. You can probably find it one way or another, I'm not saying you should do so but it's up to you.

    After you're installed SteerMouse follow these steps

    1. Go to "Cursor"
    2. Set the tracking speed to 0
    3. Start bumping up the sensitivity, I recommend starting at 100 and going up from there.

    ALSO THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YOU MUST ENABLE ACCESS FOR ASSISTIVE DEVICES IN UNIVERSAL ACCESS FOR THIS TO WORK!!!

    Normally if you plugged in a mouse like the Razer Naga for example the cursor would move sluggishly even if you went to system preferences and set the tracking speed blah blah blah. After setting your mouse up with steermouse it would work like it would on a Windows machine.

    I haven't come across any complaints (at least in forums) from people having issues with high DPI mice and Mac OS X or any of the new MBP models. I recently started using the Magic Mouse (which is labeled as being "high DPI" not only by Apple but others) as I am docking my MBP when I get home and hooking it up to my HDTV. Anyway, I haven't come across any issues either no matter what surface I use.

    When you plug in a High DPI gaming mouse into your Mac the mouse will not be as sensitive as it should be. Using this software can fix that problem. I'm not talking about apple magic mice, etc. I'm talking about mice with DPI over 1800. There is a fix that you can which doesn't require this program but it will cause the mouse to jump around a lot.
