well it seams I have a need for a mac, but I don't want a 13inch screen as they are just to small... I like on my HP 8350p.

now I can get the 'hi-res anti-glare' option and I was wondering how good it is relative to my HP's screen (which I love). My friends MB AL screen was fairly disappointing when sitting beside my HP. how much better is the 15inch panel?

You'd have to tell your screen specs...

but the old MB Aluminum had a horrible screen... all the current screens, and even other screens sold at that same time... were better.

it looks gorges. I have my dads notebook right next to mine and it makes 13" macbook pro's screen which I loved before look cheep. Although whites are better on this one, on matte they look a bit yellow

I have a 17 inch pre-unibody MBP with matte and I think that the screen is absolutely great for work (I use it mainly for work; not entertainment). I got my son the 15 inch hi-res antiglare this past summer and he loves it. I'd love to upgrade my MBP but there's no real need to do so. It does everything that I need it to and it probably will for the next five years.

well, this is an interesting turn of events... I went to an apple hiring seminar and just got an interview... maybe I'll have to wait for the possibility of staff discount!

Wow, if you help us all on the staff discount we wouldn't mind paying a little premium so that you can make a profit. :)

    Congrats on landing the interview.

If you get hired, won't they give you one?

Last time I checked, the default platform for Mozilla was the MacBook Pro.

I believe that Google gives you a choice of platforms.

well, no staff discount for you guys (or me)... didn't get the job... oh well, I guess I'll just have to settle with the student discount... still having a hard time deciding the basic screen was pretty nice...
