I have that spinning beach ball thing, and I can't figure out how to quit the program. Any suggestions?

Go to the Apple icon on the Menu Bar, open Force Quit and Force Quit iTunes. Also, you can right click the iTunes icon on the Dock and the Force Quit option should also appear.

Okay I got the program to quit. Now how do I get the beach ball off my desktop? Thanks.

Hmm...that's weird. The beach ball means the application is loading but if its still there something's wrong. Restart the computer (also from the Apple icon on the Menu Bar). If you can't get there hold down the Power button until the MacBook shuts off. Then press it again to start up the computer again.

if you ever get a perpetual spinning pinwheel, the pinwheel of death, the first step is to use the force quit command, which is Command (Apple Key) + Alt(Opt) + Esc, this is kind of the Ctrl+Alt+Delete of the Mac.

this will bring up the force quit window and should tell you what is not responding, sometimes, Finder itself will have some issues and will need to be restarted, and if all else fails, just hold down the power button until the computer shuts off, just realize you will lose any unsaved work of course.
