I'm using azureus for torrent right now but I think my config is messed up. My download and upload speeds keep dropping to zero but my health is green. Does anyone know sites for azureus tweak guides? Or are there better torrent programs for the mac?

I use Transmission since Azureus was not working with Intel's when I got my MBP.

Curious, Azureus is java based, how come it wouldn't work with Intel mac? Was the JVM not finished for intel macs?

Azureus works fine on my MBP, I think dragon529's problem is that the torrent belongs to a private tracker from places like demonoid.com. Sometimes people put those torrents on piratebay or torrentspy, which is not cool, but you should download them from places like demonoid because only registered user can download them!

I do not remember the exact issue, but there was some sort of odd workaround in order to get it to work, which I did not feel doing so i found a better alternative for me. Transmission is great for someone like me who does not download a whole lot of torrents.

There was a bug in some jar files that made it crash on Intel Machines. You had to either patch it or download an already patched version (not really difficult if one actually managed to find the file). Not sure if current version has it already fixed.

azureus is fine. Download and Upload speed do not really depend on the program. You probably have not set the program up properly. How do you connect to the Internet? Do you use a router?

Perhaps you just need a forward a single port. And I disable any software firewall when downloading
