    Help! Icons won't respond!

    I just got my mac, now the HD icon or any other of my icons on the desktop on in it's folders work, if someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated

    yes, and it takes about 15 clicks before it opens on the desktop.

    Is it just the Desktop? Try opening Finder from the Dock. See if that responds. Then after that try and right click Macintosh HD (or whatever you renamed it) and open it through a right click.

    ... If you "just got your mac" then call Applecare! (You're system does come with 90 days of free phone support ... unless you bought the Protection Plan, then it's 3 years)
