I thought Lion had fixed the wi-fi bug on my 2011 MBP as, after installing Lion, I didn't have any issues for almost a week. The problem then came back on the 27th and I have experienced it everyday. Luckily turning the wi-fi card off and on again solves the issue for me but I thought Apple would have taken care of this by now (unless it is a hardware or underlying firmware issue). It only happens to me whenever I wake the computer up from sleep mode so I no longer have any wi-fi dropouts in the middle of using the system but it is still annoying.

i upgraded to lion the very first day it was released, and as much i like its new features i feel it has slowed down my laptop pretty much, I own the 15" macbook pro 2011 the one with the 6750 installed and using gfx card status set up to always use the integrated video card and brightness at 50% I'm using 30% of battery per hour :/ with was not like that when i used SL. i upgraded the easy way, had some issues booting then did clean install; the booting problems dissapperared but i feel my computer pretty much crippled.

One thing I'm trying to figure out now though is that after a reboot I always get this msg box displayed (see 1st attachment - it relates to an application for my HP Smart Media Server)... but then after one second it automatically dissapears without me clicking on a button.
I've double checked my firewall settings and I see that the particular application in question is setup to automatically accept incoming connections (see the 2nd attachement).
So I'm unsure why Lion is asking this question at startup. Perhaps Lion displays the msg box because it had not yet checked the firewall settings. So Lion soon after displaying the message realizes "Oh yeah, they told me in the firewall settings to allow incoming connections for this app. Nevermind " [msg box then suddenly dissapears]
Its no biggy because in the end it works fine. Just wish I didn't always get that pop up message at startup.
On a positive note: just noticed that I can resize an application window from any area of the apps window frame. I think that is a new feature and I like it alot. yay for Lion!
I've still got a long ways to go before I figure out all of the really useful touchpad gestures. So far I really like Lion. I'm going to upgrade our other Macs to Lion this weekend.Attached Files:

On the window resizing you can do even more than that. If you hold down Command+Option then attempt to resize, both sides of the window will resize. If you hold down Command+Option+Shift you can resize the entire browser windows from all sides. That works the same with Command+Option if you resize from the corners. -
people need to stop saying 10.7.2 ... 10.7.1 will be out first. 10.7.2 is only in testing because its testing iCloud and iCloud will not be out in 10.7.1.
Other than that.. I've had many programs, even in Leopard and Snow Leopard do that firewall pop up even when its already in the list, and it goes away on its own without me clicking anything.... I figured it was rather common -
With the recent upgrade it is asking after every bootup but then resolves itself without my involvement. Perhaps it is not just with Lion but more related to what happens with some apps after an OS upgrade.
It is a bug (shouldnt happen obviously) but I consider it as a very low priority in that its not harming anything. I may remove those apps and reinstall them to see if it makes a difference. Actually, I may not even reinstall those apps (I don't really use my hp server much anymore). -

sure they could have done a 10.3.2 and 10.3.3 all the way up to a 10.3.873892873 but there are infinite possibilities there, so if that is jumping numbers, than ever program out there always jumps numbers every time.
regardless of any of that.. I just hope the first update for 10.7 fixes a lot of the main headaches. -
Nevertheless, you're right about the 10.7.1 that should be coming up but I wouldn't be surprised if it was 10.7.2. And yes I do know about iCloud, just sayin'. -
Many posts have been deleted:
@HLdan: Perhaps listening to and considering--if not accepting--others' thoughts and experiences may be a good idea every once in a (hopefully short) while. Opening one's eyes really brings many benefits.
@Mitlov, Ryan, napawino: If there is something you don't agree with, or someone you believe is "trolling," it would do more good to report the post and let a moderator deal with it than to initiate arguments that end up derailing a good thread.
If a moderator has to clean up this thread again, official warnings will be handed out. Thank you -

Also, it seems that Spotlight is continuously indexing and reindexing the drive, which never happened in 10.6. Tons of App Store errors as well, and an overall 'flakiness' with all of my apps in general. Lion, in it's current state, just doesn't seem like an OS I would want to depend on.
Have had Lion for 24 hours now, here's a review
