At university, there are projectors which are used when doing a demo or presenting our software. I wanted to know if the mini display port to vga converter works flawlessly with projectors.

A VGA port is a VGA port - if it works with a normal display, it'll work with a projector.

I've had some issues with the brightness of the via the MiniDVI to VGA adapter, don't ask me why, it just did and the picture was corrected with a different notebook. It totally depends on the projector/video connector but at least you still get picture.

I have a projector at home that I plug my mb alu into everyday, sans problem.
I did take it to give a talk the other week, and for some reason I just couldn't get it work with their projector. They brought in a backup projector and everything was back to normal. Later they said that the first projector didn't like mac's... who knew the PC vs Mac flame war had spread to the gadgets.

I Have seen that happen as well with projectors, some of the projectors need a slightly higher input voltage on the connector than the mini port is willing to give up to initialize the signal
