How hard is it to put a bigger hard drive in the MacBook? I decided that I will ugrade the RAM myself, but was just curious if i could save a little money by doing the hard drive myself, as opposed to Apple. Preferably at least an 80GB one, with at least 5400 RPM. I have no idea which one to get, so point me in the right direction please.

Okay, it seems that for an 80GB its actually cheaper to get it from Apple. Hm. The total with tax with an 80GB is like $1225. And two 1GB sticks from newegg brings it to about $1360. Not bad.
Also if I make a movie with iMovie, can I burn the file to a CD and then load it onto my PC and burn it onto a dvd there? -
You know cyclone... I noticed you do'nt save much with doing the HD uprgades yourself (unless you go for larger than 80 or 100gig 5400 rpm drives). Now... you got the right ide about upgrading from newegg
Not sure about your other question... I'm just wondering how easy is it to make my own authored dvds in iMovie so i can play them on my set-top dvd player. -
Apple is right on par with the rest of the market in terms of their HDD, so really upgrading your HDD through them is totally fine and you don't need to get involved with a third party.
iMovies you can save to a CD yes, and put it on a PC to play, but you need to make sure you have it saved in a format that the PC can use to make a DVD from, however if you're gonna save something to a CD-R expect downgrading the quality of the video quite a bit just to fit on that DVD, it would probably just be easier to get one with a superdrive and save yourself the hassle, it will probably annoy you after some time having to do that again and again. It's up to you. -
Or transfer over a network instead of burning to cd, naturally
