About five hours ago was the iPhone's first birthday! Who can forget all the huge lines, press, and hype that there was on this day last year? I wish I decided to line up on June 29, but I still wasn't sure if the iPhone was worth $600. Wow, was I wrong. I played with one in the Apple Store, and was amazed by it, even more than I was when I saw it in Steve's keynote. After getting some lunch, I thought it was great, but it wasn't worth $600. I caved in a little after a week after the iPhone came out to buy it on July 9 and I activated it on July 11 :).

I went up to the Tropicana hotel (which is amazing) in Atlantic City with it with a few of my buddies to go see Harry Potter in IMAX 3D. That was definitely a great way to start my iPhone "experience" ;)! I took a lot of pictures on the camera, and browsed the web and YouTube on the way there and back. It was amazing to have there, one of the best days of my life (no joke)! Great friends, Harry Potter, IMAX, an amazing hotel, Atlantic City, Italian food, and a new iPhone! I remember that there was this Italian restaurant there that didn't have real menus and only had the menus on the wall. I took a picture of the huge menu outside and the text showed up really clear. E3 was going on, too, so there were news updates every second!

My first iPhone had a defective battery that wouldn't charge all the way, so I had to exchange it a little while after I got he first one. The second one had a noticeably worse screen than the first, which pissed me off. Apple used two different screen manufacturers, the worst one were on iPhones with their serial number starting with a "7" and the best were the ones with a serial number starting with a "5", which one do you guys have? I got a 5 the first time, and a 7 the second. I'll make sure I'll exchange it this time with the iPhone 3G if I get the worse screen because the better one on the first iPhone looked much sharper, and the colors were more accurate.

    What are your iPhone stories?

My iPhone story starts last October when I got a friend living near Detroit to buy one for me and send it out to Edmonton where I live. I've been using it since with Rogers and have loved every minute of it!

Now, I have to deal with the fact that Rogers is taking the iPhone 3G and screwing Canadians over with their ****ty data plans!!! Nothing like taking an amazing product and completely destroying it!

Maybe a certain Steve *cough* is listening and will kick Ted Rogers in the box so hard he won't have any choice but to apologize to the consumers he's raping without lube!

    (If I sound a little bitter......I am) ;)
