    Hey everyone i want to get student discount on MBP that i wanna buy.
    im gonna go to study for a degree in india next month so do i qualify for it.Also im gonna buy it from my country which is Maldives where we have an authorized Apple reseller.So is it available for all the resellers worldwide or only selected countries.Plus how do you go about gettin the discount.What proof do i have to get?

    Normally you have to buy it in the country you're studying in.

    I'm a staffer at a Canadian university and while travelling in California last november, I wanted to pick up an iPod at local SoCal Apple Store.

    Unfortunately, even with all my proper id from the institution I worked at, they still could not provide the discount for me because the institution I work for was not in the US.

    I'm guessing you'll have similar problems.. Also, you'll have to be enrolled in the University/Institution in order to get the discount as Apple does usually check.

    No reason why they wouldn't. As long as you can prove you're a student.
