    Please help guys!

On my macbook I noted that when I just switch the airport ON, in order to search for some WIFI networks, the macbook completely freezes if I have the 3G usb already connected to internet.
This happens also if the 3G pen is only searching the 3G network (after being plugged) and then I switch the airport ON.
    Why does this happen?

May all people having a 3G subscription try this please?
I do not understand why this occurs. I will try on Monday in the Apple store but I would like to have your help also. For your information, I have a huawey e169 3G drive.

Thank you very much for your help

I assume you installed the drivers for your 3G receiver that came with the receiver? It's probably dodgy drivers that's causing your computer to crash. Try seeing if there's an update, or just do not switch airport on when the receiver is searching for a signal.

Indeed the drivers self installed agter plugging the receiver and they are apparently the latest ones; on the other hand I am doing what you say for the time being but I would like to know if it is a common problem or if it is my mac to have one. I will try again in the apple store on Monday, as today it is holiday here in Italy. Do you have a 3G receiver?
    Cheers

Perhaps The os x does not support the 3G receiver.

clearly there is a problem with the interface between your 3rd party 3g receiver and osx.

just return the receiver and get a new one, or put up with the issue until your 3rd party releases a better driver.

apple isn't going to help you because apple can't do anything about 3rd parties making poor drivers. unfortunate but true.

thank you for your feedback: I do not know why, or for which miracle, it works now; I just moved the airport.plist away from the preferences folder, I opened the airport then and it worked perfectly after plugging the 3G receiver. It is really strange but it works now.....even after several trials in all directions.....WEIRD misteries of OSX
    thank you for your feedback

Congrats! :) Glad you were able to get it working! Just takes some twisting of OS X's arm to get some things to work sometimes. :p
