I read an article shortly after the last refresh in the Spring that stated that the graphics switching in teh MacBook Pros were not handled by Optimus but rather a proprietary Apple technology; because of this, only the GT 330M could be used in a Windows environment and therefore switching to the Intel HD in order to conserve battery/power was not possible.

Has this since been fixed in an update since the Spring release?

No, the Spring update (3.1? I'll ask my friend again)hasn't changed anything. IMO, it's not likely to ever change. The apple support forums are subtly toxic against letting Windows 7 have "better" battery life, lol.... :p

Nope, no graphics switching and as Jeremy said, it is doubtful we will see it soon. We never did see it for the 9400/9600 15 and 17" models except for some unstable hacked workarounds that sometimes worked, and you always had to redo after going into sleep mode or a reboot.
