At first i assumed it was the display, but it is the macbook itself i have problems with.

    Old thread

When in windows, the display looks sometimes like in the picture in the link.
But when i just used the macbook, started a basic mmorpg the whole game went crazy, the graphics were all disorted, parts of the game was like cut up and put in different spots.. I tried with a new X3100 driver from Intel but it didn't work.

Now im thinking it could be a hardware problem. What can i do?! This is driving me nuts and isn't at all as fun as i'd picture it having a mac.

Sounds like it could be a video card over heating or possible main cpu over heating.

What temperature is the processor at? How soon do the artifacts and errors start popping up and what is the temperature where your computer is at?

Sounds to me like your ram is dieing. Run a hardware test to see what's causing the issue. You could call apple and they'll walk you through it, then set you up with a repair order.

    I installed a Kingston 2GB DDR2 PC5300 667MHz instead of the two other memories.
It's wierd because Leopard doesn't seem to have much problems at all, it runs smooth, while just at the Welcome screen in Windows the graphics go crazy. I don't believe it has to do with overheating.
How do i run a hardware test? Can't call apple right this minute.

I still have this problem. But it seems just to be in Windows i can see graphics problems. Games and such works fine in OS X...
So I don't really know what to do. Going to run a hardware test though.

I ran the Apple hardware test and it found nothing.

Sometimes the screen goes black and comes back after about 1 second when i connect my iPhone. What the hell?

Shall i send it to apple? How long will it be gone? And how will i explain the problems?

Those sigs are odd. Sometimes they'll say my IP, but most of the time they're blank. As for the problem, go on www.apple.com/support and there should be a link about genius bars.... when you find that it should ask you to enter your zip code, and will give a list of a Apple Store locations around you. You can then make an appointment and take it in to have them look at it. Alternativley you can take it to an Apple-certified repair center, which is usually closer and faster. when you bring it in just show them all the problems that you're having in person.

Sounds good, except that I live in Sweden and we have no real Apple Stores here, only certified apple resellers..
But I think it might work to get it repaired at one store I know..

Guess I'll have to go down there and ask!

As long as the Mac resellers are Apple Authorized Service Providers, they can do any repair for you :). Check with them, or check Apple's website.

Yeah...until it opens this spring, Vancouver has had no Apple Store either. We've been relying on sending it out or the Mac resellers out here with Apple Authorized Service Provider certification.
