Just bought a refurbished 13 inch retina MBP for $1269 + tax. I had a 15 rMBP but sold it off because I wanted a smaller model. Even after selling that beast, and buying this one I have an extra $850 in my pocket, and I have a feeling this 13.3 inch will be perfect for what I intend to use it for (portable road companion for client meetings).

Refurbished 13 retinas seems to go pretty fast on the refurbished site so I was actively watching it all day until it popped up earlier today and snagged it.

I'm hoping it will be somewhat akin to the old 12 inch powerbooks. That was one of my favorite computers back in the day in terms of power and portability. Good times with that little thing...

Can any other 13 rMBP owners share their thoughts, any issues, what to expect etc...?

I do not like 13 inch screens reguardless of the resolution they may have. When using a 17 as your primary going down to a 13 is just a bit too much for me and for others as well, thus the immergence of the 14 inch screen. I feel that if I wanted a 13 I'd just go with an IPad or some tablet. But perhaps that's just me.

I prefer by very far 13'' screens. And I used 6x 23'' 1080p monitor at the same time + my mbp 13

I will probably buy a tablet in a few years, when my ereader goes kapuff but until them I rarely see the need for it. I actually dont have a smartphone anymore. The problem with those devices is productivity, they arent there yet for me to be useful. The ereader while considerably less productive, it still gives me what I want, at a very reduced cost and at a significant less theft possibilities.

My beach house was robbed, they took all the smartphones that were there, notebooks, but left me my ereader, I was going to be heartbroken if they took it, but not as heartbroken if they took an ipad mini from me for example.

I dont have a car, they are useless and costly things. But that came out very strangely to say the least, they only robbed my very old cellphone, the other things were not mine, but from guests, I have very little feelings about possessions that arent mine
