Where is a good online store (besides Apple.com) to purchase refurbished Apple Products like the Macbook Pro, Imac or the Mac Pro?

The local reseller puts the price way to high and in some cases Apple is out of stock of some of the refurbs that I am looking at (such as the 15" i5's selling for $1400).

I'm looking for reputable stores with online operating and worldwide shipping for this.

    Thanks for any assistance. :)

I would stick to buying refurbs from Apple unless that site is going to give you a warranty. They may take in a computer and "refurbish" it but its going to have what little warranty is left from the original, so usually none, or a very little warranty from the refurbisher.

Agreed... I would buy from apple direct, they do a great job of refurbishing their products, and sometimes I feel like the have basically taken new products and called them "refurb" in order to sell off old stock. (i.e. iPad refurbs)

FYI I have bought MANY refurb products from Apple and have never had a bad experience, I feel like they do a great job of making sure the products are like new.

Fortunately or unfortunately (whichever way you want to put it), the Apple online store is the BEST place to buy refurb Macs. Good luck. :)

I'd also recommend the Apple Online Store as the best place to purchase refurbished Apple products. Refurbished products from Apple come with a full warranty and usually look and function exactly like a new product.

I've picked up a few refurbished iPods from the store before and never once had a problem with any of them, it's a great way to save a bit of money.

Anyone used a Refurbished Apple Product (Particulary MBP) for 2+ years?

Any problems you're facing with it?

I used a refurbished from Apple iBook G4 1.33ghz and it ran till about 2 years ago when I decomissioned it, it was still working at that time.

There is no real difference between new and refurbished, and if you want to keep the laptop for 2 or 3 years then get the AppleCare plan. It will protect it from not working as long as its not accidental damage.
