The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Question:

    ...so I was playing around with some audio stuff I extracted from a few mkv files and they were in vorbis ogg format...

    and this is when i realized that Garageband doesn't seem to support ogg....

    Not a huge deal...I wanted to play with Switch too...but.did I just miss something important with Garageband?

    Would this be resolved if I simply dl the QT/Itunes ogg plugin, or are they totally separate?

    I don't think GarageBand works like that. But with the XiphQT Ogg Plugin you will be able to convert Ogg Vorbis to a GarageBand-compatible format using iTunes/QuickTime.
