You'll need to install Windows with Boot Camp if you want to game at all.

But PC gaming is pretty dead any way. Better to stick to consoles.

Yeah, I do use windows with bootcamp, I was just wondering... I figured it wouldn't work... damn. I guess it was too good to be true.

Parallels doesn't support something - Direct X 9? And, since you are running both operating systems at once, it uses a lot of resources.

With Boot Camp, you can play games since you are essentially running windows on a PC.

Tried it with an older game: SWKOTOR and it played but poorly so I would not recommend as parallels do not fully, if at all, utilize the X1600gpu

I'm using bootcamp on my macbook and games run great in that. I can't afford parallels though ;) But that is software emulation not actually running windows XP like bootcamp does.

It doesn't support 3d rendering. It can't directly access the video card at this time, so everything is rendered in software mode.

You could probably get away with some old 2d games like diablo or warcraft 2 though.

You can game with VMWare Fusion. Highly experimental yet, of course.

It is not *EMULATION*, it is virtualization, quite a different stuff. Problem is, the video card can't be virtualized. So solutions like VMWare's which give you (the OS) direct access to the Video card have to resort actually to "freezing" the access to the host OS.
