    GT 650m Overclock cMPB?

    Has anyone managed to reach the 650m overclock speeds of the Retina Macbook Pro with a non-retina MPB 2012 15.4?

    So far, the best I have gotten is 1050 mhz on the core and 2600 mhz on the memory. For some reason, NVidia inspector grays out performance level 2 (P1) and only allows me to adjust the core speed in P5. I have to use MSI Afterburner to then overclock the memory to 2600 (slider maxed out).

    This is still a good overclock, but it appears that P5 is not as stable as P1 when overclocking, and any overclock on P8 completely freezes the system for me. Does anyone have insights on this matter?

    Sorry for the old thread bump...

    But same cMPB. I have the 1GB 650M with the i7-3720QM.

    Afterburner raises the memory limit to 2600MHz and I cannot get it higher. Asus GPU Tweak can go much higher, but Afterburner is the only program that can push past 2000MHz without the driver restriction kicking in.

    I have 1045MHz Core Clock and 2600 MHz on Memory.
    Running NVIDIA's 320.00 beta driver and temps are ~78-83 degrees under load monitoring temperatures.

    Past 1050MHz, my GPU will most likely crash.

    The GT 650M is the same card as the GTX 660M and its bios can go to 3000Mhz on Memory with the same TDP. I am determined to go past 2600MHz since the card is only unstable with a high core clock. I cannot discern what the max memory clock will be before the 650M is no longer stable.

    My main overclocking method is Nvidia Inspector with 2 batch files on my desktop (one Underclock, one Overclock).
    P1 and P5 can be very similar but P5 is technically "Gaming Mode". P8 is idle mode.

    The lowest voltage this card is .817v and can dynamically go there in P1 and P8 modes.
    The highest is .950 which P1 and P5 can reach (P5 is made to live in this mode).

    Overall, the GT 650M can be overclocked to very large numbers. Performance wise, a 1050MHz core and 2600MHz memory should be right around desktop GTX 650 speeds.

    I figure out how to overclock the 650M even more, I will reply.

    Can I ask what you are using for your underclock settings? Pstate and clocks?

    I am stable at 1000/2500 but beyond that I get driver crashes in gpu and cpu heavy games such as BF3.
