I have read many reviews, and all seem to think that the MacBook Pro is faster and better than the G5. So my question is, do you think it is worth it to sell my G5 (Dual 2 GHz, 2 GB of RAM), and buy a MacBook Pro (probably if I do I will get the 1.83 GHz one)?

When did you get the G5? It's a great computer and if it's new and you don't need to get a notebook I don't see why you would need too. If you need to have a portable workstation then go for it. It's a great computer and you really can't go wrong. So basically it's up to you!
