I just went ahead and purchased (from Amazon to save the sales tax)
the new 15, 1.68 ghz G4 Powerbook with the SuperDrive. A rumor had been going around about Apple releasing a G5 Powerbook, but, at the earliest it will not be till the fall or later, as I understand it. That chip still needs some work with the Apple architecture for the powerbook. At any rate, of course I can make the necessary mods on the G4 myself (RAM), video, HD maybee, but it is 80 gb already...
Anyway, I wanted to dispel rumors on the G5 being released anytime real soon.
