Probably a common question, but lately my MBP has been registering a full charge at 98%. I have calibrated the battery a few times, and it will stay at 100% until I use the battery, then after the power adapter is connected it registers a full charge at 98% again.

    Is this a normal occurence?

Don't know about MacOSX but maybe there are some thresholds in the power manager to tell the system when to start/stop charging the battery?

I'll make it simple: the Mac will only charge up the battery when it drops below 96% battery charge; this is because the Mac doesn't want the battery to overcharge by accident.

Also, battery charge does drop over time even though you don't use the battery. So after maybe two days, your 100% charge will drop to 99%, etc.
