I have a problem with MacBook Pro 2008 (Penryn) when screen "Preparing to stand by" appears the computer freezes and I have to shut it down with power button. It happens only when the computer was working for some time. Interestengly, I can make the computer go into stand-by after fresh reboot. I have a feeling that it somehow relates to wireless, since the only thing that I do is surf the net and listnet to some music from the local network. I use Windows XP.
Please write if anyone has this problem (and may be even solved it?)

I bet it has to do with your computer overheating. That often happens to my computer as well and is due to overheating. Get a temperature monitoring software like SMC fan control to see what your temperatures are at after using your computer for awhile, then report back to this thread.

I had SP3 with BootCamp 2.1, but it also happened in SP2 with Boot Camp 2.0 which came on Leopard DVD
