    Basically TL;DR Person added a password to their macbook pro, forgot it, now I'm tasked with fixing all this.

    Googling about it, I really don't want to have to back it up and all that jazz but if there's no other choice I will :( there's no apple ID attached to it. I believe it's running whatever the last OS was, or one before that. Is it possible to just take it to the genuis bar and just get them to do something for free? I figure they probably have some streamlined process to get it done quick. Sorry for being so vague, I literally never used the thing besides for random net viewing so I have no clue what I'm dealing with. :eek:
