ok, so i was planning on getting a refurbished macbook pro and i was just wondering:

1.can you get iwork and stuff like that or is it just luck of the draw?
2.do u think it would be worth it if i could get a student dicount?
3.have you ever had any problems with one (i.e. scratches, dents)
4.do they put new adapters and stuff with them?
    5.whats the return policy?
    thanks all,

    Morgan

With the student discount, the difference on a 2.2 GHz MBP is only about $100. For the difference, I'd get the new one.

Nopes. The free iPod is a current promotion that Apple is running, open to higher-education/post-secondary students. It is the Mac + iPod deal, where you get the Student Discount for the Mac, plus a free iPod Nano via rebate.

The Mac + iPod deal ends September 16th, and resumes (unless Apple changes its plans) in the next back-to-school season, in summer 2008.

they only rebate the sale price, not the tax, if u live in vancouver like i do, u will only get the 229.99 rebate but not the entire price that u pay which is 259.89. So you still have to pay 30 dollars
