Well thats one way to charge for a meme, was it the iphone 6 that got all that press?

I still prefer LG's, not that I have one or plan to get one. Still prefer just having my phone + 8.4" tablet for my uses.

Really the only use I could think of for that in my own activities is having google maps up and a podcast playing for when I am on the road. Otherwise though (again for my uses) I dont have real practical justification for it over the above scenario I found myself doing...

I do have a use case scenario for a folding device. That being said, when folded, every one is so thick and wonky. I am in the same boat, I would rather a phone and tablet vs a foldable. (for now). If they make them that they are insanely thin for when they are being used folded. The other issue I have with them is the form factor when folded, they are too narrow compared to my current phone.

Seeing as how much I use my iPad on a daily basis I would buy one in a heart beat. I watch movies and tv shows on mine daily. Being able to have one less device to carry around would be great. ;)

my favorite foldable is the MS duo. nice and thin, form factor when closed is nice and not skinny like a snickers bar.

I think unnecessary gimmickry such as a folding phone takes away what is truly important - the ability replace one's own battery. It would be an interesting exercise to plot number of discharge cycles as a function of time. These devices are being touted as mobile gaming platforms where the user could be disconnected from an AC power source or DC battery for some time (e.g., playing on an airplane; all day air travel; etc). Mobile gaming will quickly consume discharge cycles, and before long you will end up with a device which can no longer hold a charge. Replacing batteries on such devices has become comparable to changing the thermal paste on inverted laptop motherboards.

If it wasn't for a couple of apps, I would still be using my lumias. I love the OS, and the consistency of Windows mobile.

I started in the windows phone/mobile in the days of windows phone 4 on an HTC 640 (blackberry'esque device) then on to a lumia 900 on windows 7. I then went to a samsung ativ s which I liked alot, but the camera SUCKED. We then got our 1020s. Those days were mobile phone nirvana. The best camera still to this day, the windows 10 mobile on it (beta), and just the overall device, was PERFECT. I hate my iphone, The lumia 1020 was the perfect phone.

    History of Windows Mobile/Phone Devices

    • Axim x50V - Windows Mobile Classic
    • HTC Apache/Verizon XV6700 - Windows Mobile 5
    • Nokia Lumia 920 - Windows Phone 8
    • Microsoft Lumia 950 - Windows Phone 8
In between upgrades, I fiddled with Android and iOS. I really tried liking Samsung but the skin they kept putting on top of Android always irritated me. I was really happy for awhile with the Nexus Line (4, 5, and 6). Of course Google saw that enthusiasts enjoyed those phones too much and created the Pixel line.

I was almost excited when Razer announced Project Linda - Razer Project Linda - Ultraportable Laptop Powered by Razer Phone

Of course, like everything else Razer, it lacked serious Viagra and died as a limp concept.

I am 100 percent regretful on purchasing my iphone 11. It loses signal constantly, I am sick of the springboard app setup, the tied down ecosystem. I am ditching it at the first possible opportunity. I don't care anymore that my text bubbles will be green.

I recently read about a setting that tends to cause signal drops on wifi for iPhone but again that's just wifi.

I recently picked up an iPhone 5s for free, to my surprise it's still pretty fluid. I have no real use for it beyond an alarm clock though. I did like them back when they had that form factor as most phones I Had come into contact with were 4 to 4.7 inches and fit in my cars cup holder perfectly lol.
