You mean an USB stick? or a solid state disk (flash hard drive)?

USB stick anything will work. If you dont want to transfer huge files I would not even worry about speed much. Kensigton makes some solid sticks.

Yes any usb stick will work. If you dont require anything special and just want to store documents get a cheap stick but make sure it has a solid case so it doesnt fall apart.

Target had a 2gig sony USB flash drive on sale for $20 last week.

    It's normally $45.

They were out of stock so if you hurry you can get a raincheck for the $20 price. If you hurry.

Seriously, with only 2 USB ports (and neither of them especially sturdy from what I can tell - then again, 3 of the 6 USB ports on my desktop are broken...maybe I need to be more gentle inserting USB connectors or something), I wouldn't risk anything that's hard to plug in. Also, the MBP is thin. Some flash drives are really THICK (like the Corsair). You don't want it to be lifting the MBP up or wedging the USB port at all.

If cost isn't a real factor, consider an expresscard reader + a SD card + USB SD card reader.
