    go here...

Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS

download the flash uninstaller.... also get the newest (10.1) flash installer only from adobe, no 3rd party sites... close all web browsers... go through the uninstaller, then do a reinstall.

When I try to watch a youtube video it says i'm missing a plug-in

Ok im just gonna list all the steps im doing. First i click on a link that says get the latest version of flash and it takes me to adobe's website. Then it says Intstall a different version of flash and asks for my operating system. What is my operating? Macintosh OS X 10.4-10.6 right? Then I select flash player 10.1 because that is the only option.

Then i let it download then install it and it completely installs then I open up a youtube browser and NOTHING! It says you need to upgrade your flash. Any tips?

downloading it doesn't start an install... your really going into the download and running the install and going through it where it tells you to close all browsers and stuff?

why dont you just use an extension called html5? it pretty much forces every youtube video to be played in html5, or rather just sign up for html5 on youtube itself. Bear in mind that youtube5 will not work on youtube videos with commercials, hence you have to play only those vids in flash

Note that this suggestion is only for youtube
