    Firewire Help

    I have a firewire cable that is 6-pin to 4-pin. When I get my iMac would I be able to connect the 4-pin to my pc and the 6-pin to my Mac to transfer files?

    if the pc has a 4 pin port (even if not, should be able to get a convertor), then yes, you should be able to.

    Yes, my pc has a firewire port. Will the 6-pin fit in the iMacs? Just curious since the 6-pin didn't fit in my pc like it said it would.

    Macs use six pin, yes. The hard part is going to be getting the two talking to each other.

    If I have parelles could I transfer files that way easier? Windows to Windows?
