When I write an essay I usually like to keep word on the left and a browser on the right. For some odd reason my firefox window just keep on poping back to the left side and I can't make it stick to the right side. It works sometimes but it just annoys me that it keeps on poping back. Ideas?

Your talking about 2 monitors right?

    if so try mulitmon.

Use the move to monitor button the monitor you want the app to stay on or press CTRL + ALT + arrow to move the selected app between monitors

I dont know if it works on vista though

How exactly are you switching between the 2 application windows?

I know exactly what you're talking about. I've got the same issue. It doesn't always happen, but sometimes and it is annoying.

Basically when you try to move the Firefox window it will not happen the way it should. Instead the window slides to the right or left or wherever; sometimes partially out of visibility. It's probably a glitch with the current version and will be fixed in a subsequent update - I don't really know.

For now, what I do is quit/restart Firefox and the problem temporarily goes away; for how long - I have no idea, the problem seems to happen randomly to begin with. Just use your History Menu to get back to where you were before you restarted Firefox.

That's all I've got on this issue. Anyone else?

So maybe keep your fingers crossed (mine are) and wait for a Firefox update! Or you could always use Safari; I've never had this happen with Safari.
