    Anybody else try it yet?

To me it seemed a tiny bit slower on pages that hadn't been cached, but cached pages loaded up a good three times faster. Unfortunately it was using extreme amounts of cpu power(between 30 and 70 percent). This was for the entire time I had it open. I only used it for about 15 minutes, but it was enough for me to see that it's currently a bit processor intensive for me, although the memory usage seemed pretty good.

I just installed this on my MBP with Leopard. I noticed similar CPU usage (I think it peaked at 65%). It's really erratic. I have been using Safari 3 as my main browser lately so I cannot comment on the speed issues between this beta and the pervious version of Firefox. The beta seems to load pages just as fast as Safari 3 though.

I think I'll skip this beta, but I'm rooting for FF.

I use FF2 and even though it's not perfect, I just can't get into safari or camino.

I finally dumped FF in favor of Safari. FF has just been way too unstable since 2.0. Hopefully 3 will change that, but I think I will wait until an RC or full release.

i absolutely love FF simply for all of the features it offers in terms of convienience. things like google toolbar, and the way it handles bookmarks makes it absolutely necessary for me.

unless google toolbar and some very important tranlation add-ons are available for other browsers, FireFox is absolutely necessary for me. and it is perfectly fast and efficient.

Bookmarks are the main reason I've stuck with Firefox. The bookmarks bar is especially important for me. In Firefox when you add more bookmarks to your bar than can fit, you get an arrow on the right hand side. Click the arrow and a drop down menu comes up with the rest of your bookmark bar contents.

In all the other browsers, when you add too many bookmarks to fit the width, it makes another row. When you have a bunch of bookmarks there it becomes unacceptable.

I also love the NoScript and FireBug add-ons.

I used to use Camino most, but I've gotten used to the "cleaner" interface of Safari. Mostly because I don't like seeing colourful favicons on my bookmarks now...I find it distracts me.

Safari 3 does the same exact thing with its bookmarks bar.

Why not? I love tabs...makes everything so much easier. Tab Expose would be nice, I think OmniWeb does this but I don't want to pay for a web browser. Does Shiira do this too? I forget.

I do believe Shiira does it. Shiira is by far my favorite browser, but the bookmarks and the lack of add-ons that I have on firefox keep me from switching to it.
