I really want to get a macbook pro but the main thing holding me back is the price. What are some ways/what are some reputable sites where I can get a good price on a refurbished macbook pro?

This site keeps pretty good track of the current prices at the major Apple resellers.

MacPrices.net: Apple Mac, iPad, & iPod prices & reviews; Updated Daily

You want to keep in mind that some resellers collect sales taxes in your state, while some might not. This can certainly make a difference, as the "lowest price", may not actually cost you the least.

Myself, being from California, Mac Connection has received my business for the last three Macs I have bought.

You won't get a "good" price on a new one unless you can find someone selling them at a discount. You might want to look at refurbished or even used. Apple refurbished laptops are still over priced so your best bet is used.

I was just about to mention that ... Just keep in mind "technically" your supposed to pay the sales tax on your online purchases.

The most you can get is around $100-150 discount. But seriously, you will NOT regret for what you pay for. I recently purchased a MBP13 and the only thing I regret is why I haven't purchased a Mac earlier.
