PROBLEM SOLVED.... READ IF YOU ARE CURIOUS.......

Everytime I put ANY word in the "Finder" help search, it gives me this message. For example, I put the word "BATTERY" in there, it populates a list of potential help topics. I hit "show all results" and every time it displays this message, or the window simply shuts down and dissapears. I am extremely frustrated. Does anyone know whats going on?

I put in the word "keyboard" and the same message appears. It will not allow me to search for help on ANY subject. I am so mad right now....... It used to work fine, so have I changed something by accident? I just put in the word "display".... and NOTHING.. it doesn't work at all!!!! I put in the word "language"... it just keeps giving me the exact same message as I've attached.

OKAY....... Problem solved. Here's what I did... I created another user account and logged in using the "temporary" account, and the aforementioned problem did not occur. I then proceeded to TRASH the apple.finder.plist from Preferences. I re-started the system and it still did not work properly (in my own login). I then TRASHED the CACHES folder from the Library folder, re-started the system, and everything works PERFECTLY!!!!

Hey CASHMONEE, thanks for the tip, there was some pretty neat stuff on your link. I tried some of the tips, and was very curious about the one relating to the screen resolution. I think it MAY have had something to do with my changing the settings to accommodate an external monitor. I really am not too sure, but that is the only thing I had done differently than ever before...... Regards, ryder
