G'day! This is a problem I've had ever since I started using right clicking, be it on the desktop, or on finder. Not sure if it's a 10.4.10 issue, since the minute I got the macbook (june) I installed all the updates.

The problem is that sometimes when I right click finder crashes, sort of how when windows explorer.exe crashes and the icons dissapear along with the taskbar and then reappear again, all finder windows close and the desktop icons dissapear, but only when I right click, be it with a mouse or with a trackpad.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

I had the same problem and it still occured after deleting stuffit from the applications folder and form the library.
I found nother cause on google which could be the .DS_Store file which could be corrupt. I found a script that and ran it to delete all the .DS_Store files in my /user folder.

I'd try the solution that taelrak suggested and then try deleting the .DS_Store.

If it's not that stuffit thing, you may want to give repairing permissions a shot. That's usually the first thing most Mac users do when a problem pops up.

I'm sure you've already tried this, though, but you never know.

Thanks guys, I just uninstalled the program since I don't really use it anymore, and manually deleted the plugin also. Everything works great now.

    Thanks again.

    1. having a widows fetish is fine but, using them is just wrong. be kind to the ladies

    2. you can easily reinstall tiger - just put in the dvd and reinstall it after backing up your data
